Parts Books compiled by the Mopar Parts Division of Chrysler Corporation are automobile books which are detailed and
specific to Chryslers. Prior to 1950 the Mopar Division printed separate parts books for each of its makes. (Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge,
Dodge Truck, Desoto). From 1950 to the present, Chrysler's Mopar Parts Division combined all of its passenger car makes into one large,
comprehensive volume. In most years the Mopar Division published its automobile Parts Book for that model year only.
Parts Books contain a large number of detailed blow up diagrams which illustrate individual parts, label the parts and show how they fit
together with their adjacent parts. Coordinated tables give the part number along with its common name and information as to what years and
automobile models it can be used in. The Chassis section of the Parts Book includes comprehensive part information about the engine, electrical,
fuel and exhaust, transmission, brakes, suspension and steering. The Body section covers the sheet metal, glass and moldings, doors and
convertible top.
