Mercury Parts Books
Parts Books compiled by
the Mercury Division of the Ford Motor Company are automobile books which are detailed and specific to
Mercury automobiles. They contain a large number of detailed blow up diagrams which illustrate individual parts, label the parts
and show how they fit together with their adjacent parts. Coordinated tables give the part number along with its common name and
information as to what years and automobile models it can be used in. The Chassis section of the Parts Book includes comprehensive
part information about the engine, electrical, fuel and exhaust, transmission, brakes, suspension and steering. The Body section
covers the sheet metal, glass and moldings, doors and convertible top. In some model years Ford published its automobile Parts
Book for that model year only. In other years Ford combined several model years together into one multi-volume Parts Book.
